Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
North Gate Access Fob
Residents of Dolphin Isles and surrounding neighborhoods may access Hugh Taylor Birch State Park through the North Gate, located off NE 32nd Avenue.
North Gate access is available to current Florida State Park passholders who have purchased a key fob.
Please note: The North Gate closes 30 minutes before the park closes each day. Access is only permitted during official park hours.
North Gate Key Fob – Terms & Conditions
- Non-transferable:
The key fob is assigned exclusively to the passholder who purchases it and may not be shared or transferred. One key fob is permitted per state park pass. Key fobs and state park passes may NOT be included in - Valid Park Pass Required:
A valid Florida State Park Pass is required at all times. The key fob does not replace your park pass.
Passholders must carry their park pass while in the park. - Expiration & Renewal:
Your key fob will expire on the same date as your Florida State Park Pass.
When renewing your park pass, please inform the ranger station or email bmarron@birchstatepark.org to ensure your fob remains active. - Non-Renewal:
If your park pass is not renewed within one week of your pass expiration date, your key fob will be deactivated. A new $40 donation is required to obtain a replacement fob. Due to software limitations, key fobs cannot be reactivated once deactivated. - Lost or Damaged Fobs:
Lost or damaged fobs may be replaced for a $40 donation. The original fob will be permanently deactivated. - Pickup Information:
After payment is received, you will be notified by email when your key fob is ready for pickup at the ranger station. Key fobs will not mailed.
Please allow approximately 3–5 business days for processing. - Restrictions on Use: Park passes and North Gate key fobs may not be purchased or used for large groups, commercial purposes, or short-term rental properties (including but not limited to Airbnb, VRBO, or similar accommodations). If Friends of Birch State Park is notified or determines that a park pass or key fob is being misused, shared, or used in violation of these terms, we reserve the right to immediately deactivate the key fob without refund and restrict or ban future access through the North Gate.
