North Gate Annual Access Pass
Residents of Dolphin Isles and surrounding neighborhoods may access Hugh Taylor Birch State Park through the North Gate, located off NE 32nd Avenue.
The North Gate Annual Access Pass provides convenient entry for eligible visitors while
supporting the ongoing care, maintenance, and enhancement of the park.
How It Works
To participate in the North Gate Annual Access Pass program, individuals must:
- Be a Friends of Birch Neighborhood Member
- or hold a valid Florida State Park Pass AND make an annual $25 donation for the North Gate Annual Access Pass
Your Annual Access Pass allows entry through the North Gate but does not replace your Florida State Park Pass. Passholders must carry their valid park pass while in the park.
Important Update for Current Fob Holders
Effective April 27, 2026: Existing North Gate fobs will no longer be active. All current fob holders will need to transition to the PalGate app. Please check your email for details.
- Your current access will remain active through the expiration of your Florida State Park Pass
- Once your park pass expires, your North Gate access will also expire (one week grace period is provided to renew)
- To continue access, you will need to renew your North Gate Annual Access Pass with a $25 annual donation using the link below
- Individual State Park Pass = 1 Access Pass; Family State Park Pass = 2 Access Passes
This annual program helps Friends of Birch State Park continue to support park improvements, visitor amenities, and conservation efforts—while preserving convenient neighborhood access.

Terms & Conditions
Non-Transferable: Each North Gate Annual Access Pass is assigned to an approved passholder and may not be shared or transferred. Individual passholders will receive one login; family passholders will receive two logins.
Non-Refundable
All contributions are final and cannot be refunded or prorated.
Valid Park Pass Required
A valid Florida State Park Pass is required at all times. The North Gate Annual Access Pass does not replace your park pass.
Annual Renewal
Access must be renewed annually to remain active. A renewal reminder will be provided prior to expiration.
Setup Information
Once form is complete and payment is received; you will be notified by email with your login credentials. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing.
Restrictions on Use
Access may not be used for:
- Large groups
- Commercial purposes
- Short-term rentals (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.)
Misuse may result in deactivation without refund and restriction from future participation.
